Sweetie

Sweetie  loves the company of her friends! She prefers to be at your feet  while you work and next to you on the sofa when you're kicking back.

Some of Sweetie's favorite activities are stretching out with you for scratches and settling in for movie night on the couch (be warned, she often dozes off !). She's more of a home-body and prefers a calm environment to the hustle and bustle of the social scene.

Sweetie came to us after someone witnessed her being tossed from a car. Sweetie is understandably a little timid when meeting new people. She's not sure if they intend to be harmful or friendly. Thanks to our amazing partners and volunteers, Sweetie has begun to meet more and more wonderful friends and is becoming more trusting each day.

She has walked nicely on leash and is not overly nervous, though sudden loud noises or approaching strangers may startle her. She loves to show off her pretty sit, and will run from friend to friend offering them in exchange for the treats she can smell in our pockets!

Sweetie's ideal home would be one in which a family member worked from home or was present frequently, as she shows signs of stress when left alone. Because of her timid nature, she would be most comfortable in an adult-only home.  We have no information about Sweetie's relationship with cats, but would be happy to gather more info! Sweetie has been around many dogs. She is primarily neutral towards them, but prefers to leave them at the park and have her guardians to herself!

Sweetie will have the support of No Dog Forgotten and their partners while she transitions into her new forever home.
